We have had the best time, learned so much, and made some wonderful new friends over the past couple of weeks at the Decatur and Suwanee Book Festivals!
Suwanee was in it’s first year and, of course, had fewer attendees than Decatur, but it was the PERFECT first experience for my husband, author of Grandma Birdie’s Red String, and I. We met many people, shared ideas, sold a few books, and as I said learned so much. I’m so grateful to everyone!!!
Decatur was just a whirlwind! I couldn’t believe how many authors, exhibitors, and attendees there were. It was amazing to see so many accomplished authors and book lovers in one spot!
And, I have to mention that the number of educators- teachers, counselors, administrators, etc- was nothing short of inspiring! We can all feel our children are in good hands with such caring people using their own funds to fill the libraries in their classrooms.
We had a very successful weekend in Decatur, and I’m touched by how many parents and children can relate, be comforted, and made to laugh by Nobody Likes Me. Please share your stories with me! And, if you have the time, we’d love for anyone who has Nobody Likes Me to put up a review on Amazon.com. You can also follow us on Facebook. Thank you!!
I’ve included a few pictures from each festival.
Also, please take a look at these websites of the authors we have met and who have so graciously offered their guidance! Thank you everyone!
